| Description: | Specifically, the compounds were dissolved in a stock solution of DMSO at 10.0 or 100 mM. A portion of this stock solution was added to assay buffer in a final volume of 50 μL. Controls included buffer alone and enzyme solutions to which DMSO was added. Substrate was added to the reaction wells immediately or after incubation at room temperature. The reaction rates were measured spectrophotometrically by the generation of product at 405 nm for 600 sec. Background absorbance at 690 nm was measured and subtracted from the absorbance at 405 nm for each well. |
